Sweet Liberty Farm is a small farm located east of San Antonio, TX on the Cibolo Creek. We are raising Boy 1, Boy 2, and The Girl in our partially renovated 1937 farmhouse, and heritage breeds including Irish Dexter & Guernsey cattle and Gloucestershire Old Spots pigs in the pastures. French Marans & Ameraucana hens are known to run about as well. We are passionate about raising these animals the way it used to be done, before the creation of the factory farm, so that the fruits of our labor are products we are proud to serve our family and share with our neighbors and our community.
Heaven knows this farm is, and will most likely always be, a work in progress. But hey, we’ve come a long way from a couple of pigs, half a dozen chickies, and a desire to grow our own food!! Be it a week old calf high-tailing around the pasture for the first time, newborn piglets, a momma hen with her chickies trailing behind, or that first taste of home grown bacon & eggs with a frothy glass of farm fresh milk, we are ever so thankful for every moment & experience…well… except for maybe that unexpected PLOP of chicken poo on the back of the neck…can’t say I’m all too thankful for that 😉
Thanks for following our many farming adventures!
